Turner will steal the hot dwarf limelight from Richard Armitage when he brings a little romance to the Hobbit trilogy in The Desolation of Smaug - his Kili making eyes at Evangeline Lilly's elf Tauriel.
Best known until now as a vampire in BBC TV series Being Human, Turner will turn werewolf for The Mortal Instruments.
