THE INFERNAL DEVICES Possibly Becoming a TV Show

Earlier in the year, The Hollywood Reporter said The Infernal Devices had been assigned a screen play writer. Interestingly enough, during the last week of December (2013), Cassandra Clare has replied to a fan about The Infernal Devices becoming a movie and it looks like there might be a Infernal Devices show instead:
Have any dream casts in your head, yet? Sound off in the comments!

Catch up on the Latest Women of the Shadowhunter Universe Calendar Pictures

This Women-of-the-Shadowhunter-world Calendar originally started with Men of the Shadowhunter Universe Calendar. These calendars are drawn by illustrator, Cassandra Jean, with the help of Cassandra Clare.
So the beautiful Cassandra (NOT me, Cassandra Jean) as you know collaborated to create a calendar of the TMI/TID/TDA/TLH boys — Men of the Shadowhunter Universe, I guess — and while I don’t know what we’re going to do with it yet, we decided to do a matching calendar for the girls. Cassandra wanted to work with classic pinup poses, so here’s Grace from TLH being ice queen January, and Helen and Aline being February 2014, celebrating Valentine’s Day*. Lookit Helen’s cute pointy ears!

*But not the way Valentine celebrates it.

More calendar pics! March Cecily and April Maia — I put them alongside March Will and April Matthew for compare and contrast. Everyone looks gorgeous thanks to Cassandra Jean.

New CARSTADALE HERONSTAIRS Snippet from Cassandra Clare

aegisdea
After Cassandra Clare saw some Jem and Will artwork on tumblr, she decided it would be a "HERONSTAIRS DAY." And so, today, we get to read some new dialogue from Will and Jem -also known as Carstadale or Heronstairs!
Check out this very Heronstairs-y snippet:
"I love you," Will said. "I love you desperately. I have never felt for another the way I feel for you. My love for you is as eternal as the sea, and like the rocks against which the waves are dashed, again and again, it shall remain unyielding. In you I have found my own heart’s heart, which I had thought previously only to find in dreams. Never could I have encompassed a better partner, a finer friend, a more beauteous companion. Allow me just once to kiss your sweet lips."
Jem looked up from the fire, where he was petting Church. Church had fallen asleep and all his fur was sticking up. “I do wish you would cease reading to me from Gothic novels,” he said. “They give me the pip.”
"Love is a noble emotion!" Will cried, waving his arms about with such energy that the book he was reading slid from his lap. His hair was sticking up like Church’s fur, or a bit as if he had been electrocuted.
"Quite," said Jem, and rolled over onto his back, smiling up at Will from his place by the fire. Church twitched and snuffled, curling up against his shoulder. "Now read me something with a fight scene in it, won’t you?"

New Shadowhunter Rune Called 'Faith'

Sadly, Val Freire -who created the drawings for runes- can't make it to The Mortal Instrument's premiere tonight in LA. However, she did unveil a new rune. This one is called Faith:
Ohhhh, yeah! Did I forget to mention that? I just made a “FAITH” Glyph-Rune tonight. I’m dancing over that too! I’d very much like to dance with youヽ(´ãƒ¼`)ノ ~ Val Freire

Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: 'THE INFERNAL DEVICES' Characters

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the unofficial ones here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. There are around 70 cards in total. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers! To see all the official cards so far, click here.
So Cassandra Jean has finished the complete Shadowhunter Tarot, so for the next … seventy-something days I’ll be posting a card a day (okay, maybe not every day — I tend to get distracted!) in order, from the first card to the last.
(Okay, I lied! I keep getting distracted and missing cards. Here I’m finishing up the suit of Rings, which takes the place of the suit of Pentacles. Pentacles are associated with change and progress. Each card shows a family associated with a family ring — ten is the Branwells, and the suit cards, Queen, King, Prince and Page, are taken by the Lightwoods of the Infernal Devices era.
*The Cecily card is a spoiler. Therefore I’ve tagged the post.

Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: Aloysius Starkweather

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the unofficial ones here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. There are around 70 cards in total. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers! To see all the official cards so far, click here.
We’ve moved on from the Major Arcana to the minor Arcana — the first suit is the suit of Rings, which takes the place of the suit of Pentacles. Each Rings card shows the family ring of a particular Shadowhunter family and some of the members. The Six of Rings shows the Starkweather family in the TID era — Aloysius and the portrait of Adele that Tessa encounters in Clockwork Prince.
Such a sad family!

Cassie Shares More TLH Info Through Some Art by Cassandra Jean

Cassie asked Cassandra Jean to create 4 pictures with 4 seasons. In each season, there are characters from each of Cassie's different series -The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices, and the mysterious TLH.

For fall we have The Mortal Instruments

Here The Mortal Instruments takes the season of fall. From left: Maia, Simon and Isabelle, Sebastian (lurking darkly on a bench) Jace and Clary, Luke and Jocelyn, Alec and Magnus, and Jordan, all in Central Park on a fall day.

Day 12, 13, and 14: Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: Will, Tessa, and Jem

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the ones that are out here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. Each day, Cassie will try to post a new card on her tumblr. There are around 70 cards in total. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers!
I was going to post a card a day but I am several days behind, so these three cards go up together since they fit together thematically.
Will gets the Hanged Man which symbolizes someone caught in a bad situation between impossible choices.
Jem gets Temperance, which means balance, and can mean the blending of opposites.

And Tessa gets the Star, which is an otherworldly card, symbolizing magic. It also symbolizes love, vulnerability and hope.

Anthonly Neely's Reaction to Being Fancasted as Jem

Shadowhunters encouraged Cassandra Clare to tweet Anthony Neely about playing Jem.
His reply:
Aw... isn't he sweet! And it also looks like he's started to read the books.
We could possibly have Anthony Neely as Jem, what do you think?

Day 6 of 70: Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: Brother Zachariah

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the ones that are out here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. Each day, Cassie will try to post a new card on her tumblr. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers!
Oh, this is fun! So Cassandra Jean has finished the complete Shadowhunter Tarot, so for the next … seventy-something days I’ll be posting a card a day in order, from the first card to the last. Some will be under spoiler cuts; some you’ll have seen before — I’ll explain why each character has the card they have.

This is Brother Zachariah as The Hierophant. The Hierophant is sometimes called the priest, the Shaman, or the Pope. “While the Magician was taking raw power from the Universe and manifesting it on the material plane, the Hierophant channels that power through society (as in the religions of the world).” The Silent Brothers are the studious monks of the Shadowhunter world, so it fit.
Above is the card Cassandra drew when she didn’t know who Brother Zachariah was/had been before he became a Brother. Below is the card she drew afterward! In both images, he holds the Mortal Sword.

The Collection of all the Shadowhunter Tarot Cards (at the moment)

The cards are listed in order of the days they came out (to see the latest card, click here). Above the cards, it is the background information from Cassie's tumblr. The collection of cards have characters starting from The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments all the way to The Dark Artifices. Through these cards we have found some new characters -Julian Blackthorn, Emma Carstairs, Cristina Rosales, Livia and Tiberius Blackthorn- that I'm sure we will love as much as The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices crew.
Cassandra Jean is doing a set of Shadowhunter Tarot cards, starting with the characters from the Dark Artifices. (Isn’t Jules adorable?) They don’t have the same titles as the Major Arcana of the real Tarot, but you can see by their numbers what cards they match up to (Julian, #4, matches The Emperor.)

Join the End-of-The-Infernal-Devices project

TMICanada has joined a few TMI-sites (TMI_Columbia, ShadowhunterAR, CDSVzla, and TMI_Institute) to create a end-of-The-Infernal-Devices project.

Shadowhunter, the end of The Infernal Devices is coming, and we have a lot of feels: Angry, Excited, Sad and -to some people- happy. But the point is we all are in this fandom and we have to say good bye in some way. So here is your chance:
Tell us by writing one word on a poster: what do you feel about the Infernal Devices end? We want to know! So take a picture with the poster and send it to this e-mail (shadowhuntersvzla@gmail.com or Canada.TMI@gmail.com) and when the day comes we're gonna do something really special with that photo. Entries must be submitted by Monday, March, 18th at 12:00 pm EST.
